#13. Bones Bleaching in the Sun
Music: Colress
Oh, the guy with the hair leech from the sewers. What up?
Yeah sure, knock yourself out.
of the same species."
Well yeah, maybe that's because she doesn't live in a sewer anymore.
the power of your Pokémon!"
I dunno, maybe it's because I'm treating them like livings things with hopes and aspirations? I also yell at them.
power of Pokémon.'"
What.
No, I got that. What.
they share with their Trainers?"
Whoa whoa whoa, I dunno freakshow. You come up to me, look at my sludge and then build me up. I dunno. Seems fishy to me is all.
Nngh.
Some people, yo.
Choro Notes: You can get a lot of the same items that were in Black around here:
I think I'd remember something with a name like Gesundheit.
- - -
Music: Bianca (B2/W2 Ver.)
Yeah, what's up?
Well, alright then.
Choro Notes: Route 4 is aesthetically different between black2 and white2. In Black2 the route has been developed up from all the construction that was happening in Black/White and has a lot of buildings. However, in White2 the development uncovered ancient ruins and as a result construction was halted.
Wild Pokémon, yup got it. Just like every other thing I can run in.
Choro Notes: Pokémon Breeders behave differently in Black2/White2, once you leave an area they will ALWAYS be flagged as unfought again when you re-enter. That is, you can fight them over and over and over. Their teams never level up though so the early ones end up being nothing more than a nuisance later on.
- - -
Yeah, whatup.
Choro Notes: I didn't show it off, but this is the roadblock keeping you in Castelia.
boulders on their backs?"
What type of question is that? Yes. You just saw them. You fukkin' observed 'em with your fukkin' eyes.
liberate them from humans."
Yo, do those guys know what "liberate" means?
. . . what. Why are you pointing at me?
the hidden potential of Pokémon!"
Music: Unova Trainer Battle
Oh are we really doing this?
Oh goddammit.
Are we done or . . . ?
Sure, that's a Pokémon, alright. So is my punch Anubis.
power in Pokémon by being kind to them!"
Wait, are we the only ones that do that? Is that what you are fuckin' tellin' me?
Well yeah! This lil' dude has a metal skeleton and this one is literally full of magma. Why the hell would I wanna get on their bad sides?!
. . . . THE FUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?! YOU'RE DEAD, MOTHERFUCKER.
Don't think I like that guy.
Choro Notes: There are a bunch of buildings on this route now, some have things of note in them:
Ain't got one!
Choro Notes: The Wide-Lens boosts the accuracy of the holder's moves by 10%.
O-oh. . . . So. What should I do then?
Today's Thursday. I don't see anything.
Cryin' shame, that. All about the cultural heritage.
Choro Notes: Now that the development has been abandoned, the area is crawling with hoodlums.
Choro Notes: Mud Bomb is basically a less accurate but more powerful upgrade to Mud-Slap, so. It only has a 30% chance of lowering the target's accuracy but really raw power is kind of what I need here.
The burden of the elder child.
Choro Notes: In Black2, on Thursdays, a Mandibuzz will show up on this route. In White2, on Mondays, a Braviary shows up instead. It's one of the methods the game uses to let you get late-game monsters earlier.
That's a nice use of found objects for decoration. I like that.
Choro Notes: In addition to getting a Mandibuzz really early, it also has its hidden ability: Weak Armor. Weak Armor lowers Mandibuzz's defense whenever it's hit by a physical move, but it also raises its speed. Really, it's kind of a meh ability for Mandibuzz.
- - -
Who hasn't time been cruel to, toots?
Choro Notes: There's a doctor here in Black that says the same thing.
If only you were weak to poison . . .
Choro Notes: The desert is still littered with hidden items.
Choro Notes: and dancing cacti.
Choro Notes: Flame Burst is 30 points stronger than Ember and hits adjacent monsters in double/triple battles. It doesn't have the ability to burn the target, however.
Two years ago this was above ground. Huh.
Choro Notes: The Darmanitan statues are no longer here.
Choro Notes: You can still go below but all you can really do is catch Yamask. It's pretty much the only reason it's there.
Kunster drew this picture
?!
Choro Notes: I fucked up my recording/screencapping but this guy had a unique effect when he entered the field.
The hell?
Choro Notes: Because I did the memory link and saw that flashback with N in the Chargestone Cave, certain uncommon encounters can occur. These monsters have that unique sparkle effect when they enter the field, they all have straight 30s in their IVs (the unchangeable stats each monster has), and have N's trainer number. These are all the monsters N used at some point throughout Black/White. This Darumaka is from the encounter with N at Nimbasa City. The Sandile, Scraggy and Sigilyph he used can also be found in the desert, as well as the Darmanitan from Black's intro video.
The encounters aren't that rare and if you KO one they'll just show up again later.
