- Ok by confirmed I mean “it’s really obvious and this show did well enough that it’s justified and the mechanical designers vague hints seem hopeful.
- Mandoric was hella sick this week, that’s why our TL has been delayed. DEAL WITH IT.
- The good news is the TL is done, and I’m working on it, but it’s going to take probably tonight to do it since there’s some stuff with rather finnicky dialogue and we need to iron out what’s meant to get y’all the best TL.
- ~ keep an eye out for future side projects to astound and amaze ~

It was a show set in the same continuity with the same characters, chronologically right after the first series. How is that not a sequel?

I have to thank you guys for all your hard work, this series has been brilliant and I don’t think I would of enjoyed it half as much without having any clue what the hell people were saying, keep up the grand work.

Everybody talks about Great-Hen but no one mentions there’s almost 30 min. of unreleased scenes we haven’t seen yet. By no means is this thing over.

I loved the ending but I’m really expecting a OVA or a 2nd season!! Shin Great Mazinger!! (and not the Mazinkaiser one!) and finally a decent final fight for Mazinger Z!

Hmm didn’t think about it before but the end of 26 would leave a perfect beginning for Great-Hen… considering the plot of the Original Great I would probably also assume that Dr. Hell is not dead either.
I figure it’s late enough to discuss events without spoiling…my only issue was when Kouji uses big bang punch, it shows him demolishing the lower half of the King of Hell…but then it shows it again from a different angle, and he goes through its torso instead, leaving the legs untouched. That just kind of confused me.
Yeah I think that’s a mistake. I hope they do something about it in the dvd release.
But I kinda noticed it after several watch. I was normally too busy orgasming over it.

Dr. Hell has to be dead. Baron Ashura was bound by some plot device (crazy spell? i dont’ know) that it could not suicide while dr. hell was alive. Ashura needed to suicide to summon the Mycenaean Empire.
maybe he’ll be brought back to life somehow, but at the moment he is dead.
You can see beforehand that Archduke Gorgon was readying his sword to cut Ashura in half.
I assume Ashura tearing itself in half was symbolism or something.
Didn’t we all see Dr. Hell still alive in episode 1 after coming of Black General?
We saw Dr. Hell split in half, dragging his torso along the ground and cursing Kouji. Not sure if that counts as alive.

I finally watched the last episode of Great the other day, yeah. It was nice to see Z have a slightly better time of it after being pretty much tossed aside at the end of its own damn series.

here’s the translation of what the girl translating what go nagai said in the youtube she said “there is no plan in the time being but there will be a plan after mazinkaiser and mazinger z”.
and then the video stops just as go nagai was mentioning grendizer, so i think Mazinkaiser is coming , I mean come on the 7 OVA’s didn’t do him justice . and here’s hoping for new grendizer
