Chapter 19: The Most Dangerous Game of All

oooo. I like zoos.

oooo. I really like games.

Heh, hey. Hey Otoro. Check this out:

Heh, I can't help making faces at zoo animals.

. . .Then what's Seaking?

Regenerated Fossil? Huh, how 'bout that?

GAME TIME

Well ok, but this better be the best damn game involving capturing wild animals on a nature preserve I've ever played.

Yea, yea.

Choro Notes: Pokémon Black & White - Evolution

Oh man, oh man. I'mma catch a Tauros, and a Chansey, and a—

. . .Parasect? Lovely.

Man, I can't wait to eat that mushroom.

#047. Parasect J:Parasect G:Parasek F:Parasect

Mushroom Pokémon
Height: 3'03" Weight: 65 lbs
Habitat: Forests Types:
Stage1: Evolves from Paras
Parasect is known to infest large trees en masse and drain nutrients from the lower trunk and roots. When an infested tree dies, they move onto another tree all at once. It stays mostly in dark, damp places, the preference not of the bug, but of the large mushrooms on its back. The bug host is drained of energy by the mushrooms on its back. It appears that the mushrooms do all the thinking. When nothing's left to extract from the bug, the mushrooms on its back leave spores on their host's egg.

Fishing for sea Tauros.

SEA ONI.

YES. FEED MY SPIRIT WITH YOUR FISHY RAGE.

Stupid fish.

#119. Seaking J:Azumao G:Golking F:Poissoroy

Goldfish Pokémon
Height: 4'03" Weight: 86 lbs
Habitat: Freshwater Types:
Stage1: Evolves from Goldeen
In the autumn, Seaking males can be seen performing courtship dances in riverbeds to woo females. During this season, this pokémon's body coloration is at its most beautiful. Using its horn, it bores holes in riverbed boulders, making nests to prevent its eggs from washing away. Seaking are very protective of their eggs. The parents will take turns patrolling around their nest; guarding their eggs for over a month at a time.

RedsRevenge named this.
Choro Notes: There is no reference here at all.

Of course you'd show up next.

#118. Goldeen J:Tosakinto G:Goldini F:Poissirene

Goldfish Pokémon
Height: 2'00" Weight: 33.1 lbs
Habitat: Freshwater Types:
Goldeen is a very beautiful pokémon with fins that billow elegantly in water. However, don't let your guard down around them - they could ram you powerfully with their horn. Goldeen loves swimming wild and free in rivers and ponds. If one of these fish are placed in an aquarium, it will shatter even the thickest glass with one ram of its horn and make its escape. In the springtime, schools of Goldeen can be seen swimming up falls and rivers. Its dorsal and pectoral fins are strongly developed. It can swim at a speed of five knots. During spawning season, they swim gracefully in the water, searching for their perfect mate.

C'mooooon

Stupid dragon slug.

Oh hey, a girl one.

#147. Dratini J:Miniryu G:Dratini F:Minidraco

Dragon Pokémon
Height: 5'11" Weight: 7.3 lbs
Habitat: Freshwater Types:
Dratini was long considered a mythical creature until recently when a small colony was found living underwater. The capture of the first Dratini inspired the search for other legendary species. Dratini continually molts and sloughs off its old skin. It does so because the life energy within its body steadily builds to reach uncontrollable levels. During this process, it prefers to be protected by a rapid waterfall. Even the young can exceed 6.5 feet in length.

Man, all of this unspoiled nature right here in the middle of mostly-urbanized Kanto with tons of non-native pokémon freely wandering. We humans definitely are a force for good in the world. :)

Oh, whoa. A bird that's conjoined at the body.

Donating this to science.

#084. Doduo J:Dodo G:Dodu F:Doduo

Twin Bird Pokémon
Height: 4'07" Weight: 86.4 lbs
Habitat: Grasslands Types:
Doduo lives on a grassy plain where it can see a long way. If it sees an enemy, it runs away at 60 mph. It races through grassy plains with powerful strides, leaving footprints up to four inches deep. By alternately raising and lowering its two heads, it balances itself to be more stable while running. Doduo's two heads never sleep at the same time. Its two heads take turns sleeping, so one head can always keep watch for enemies while the other one sleeps. Doduo's two heads contain completely identical brains. A scientific study reported that on rare occasions, there will be examples of this species possessing different sets of brains.

I guess I'd be more excited if I had something to use this on.

vv

Oh man, they smell like coconut.

#102. Exeggcute J:Tamatama G:Owei F:Noeunoeuf

Egg Pokémon
Height: 1'04" Weight: 5.5 lbs
Habitat: Forests Types:
This Pokémon consists of six eggs that form a closely knit cluster. If even one is separated from the group, the energy bond between the six will make then rejoin instantly. The six eggs attract each other and spin around. When disturbed, they quickly gather and attack in swarms. Using telepathy only they can receive, they always form a cluster of six Exeggcute. The shell is very durable. Even if it cracks, it can survive without spilling the contents. When cracks increasingly appear on the eggs, Exeggcute is close to evolution. Even though it appears to be eggs of some sort, it was discovered to be a life-form more like plant seeds.

Jemmalen named this.

Choro Notes: Sunny Day is the sun counterpart to Rain Dance. It boosts Fire-type moves and makes SolarBeam take only a turn with no charge. It also weakens water-type moves and makes Thunder less accurate.

HOLY CRAP.

DOUBLE HOLY CRAP. I caught it with one ball.

#115. Kangaskhan J:Garura G:Kangama F:Kangourex

Parent Pokémon
Height: 7'03" Weight: 176.4 lbs
Habitat: Grasslands Types:
To avoid crushing the baby it carries in its pouch, it always sleeps standing up. The infant rarely ventures out of its mother's protective pouch until it is 3 years old. If it is safe, the young gets out of the belly pouch to play. The adult keeps a close eye on the youngster; if you come across a young Kangaskhan playing by itself, you must never disturb it or attempt to catch it. The baby pokémon's parent is sure to be in the area, and it will become violently enraged at you. To protect its young, it will never give up during battle, no matter how badly wounded it is. It is skilled at attacking using Comet Punch.

Gendalis named this

Choro Notes: You aren't seeing the tons of male nidoran in between these battles that I'm just running from.

#111. Rhyhorn J:Sihorn G:Rihorn F:Rhinocorne

Spikes Pokémon
Height: 3'03" Weight: 253.5 lbs
Habitat: Grasslands Types:
Rhyhorn's brain is very small. It is so dense, while on a run it forgets why it started running in the first place. It apparently remembers sometimes if it demolishes something. Rhyhorn runs in a straight line, smashing everything in its path. It is inept at turning because of its four short legs. It can only charge and run in one direction. It is not bothered even if it rushes headlong into a block of steel. This Pokémon may feel some pain from the collision the next day, however.

Why couldn't you have been DK's final smash?

Mm. . . [:I

Why would they put this all the way in the back here?

Eew.

Eh, I'll keep an eye out fo—

Oh you're shitting me. That's not how plurals work

Larger rest house than the rest, therefore, we go inside.

I bring news from the outside world! Metroid went first person and that company that makes Windows makes consoles now.

Campaign? Look I'm nerdy but not D&D nerdy. If I let you touch my hand will you let me win anyway? You can brag to all your geek friends.

Yaaaaay. :T

Surf

GIANT MOTH

Giant moth. . .

Giant girl moth

#049. Venomoth J:Morphon G:Omot F:Aeromite

Poison Moth Pokémon
Height: 4'11" Weight: 27.6 lbs
Habitat: Forests Types:
Stage1: Evolves from Venonat
Venomoth is nocturnal—it is a pokémon that only becomes active at night. Its favorite prey are small insects that gather around streetlights, attracted by the light in the darkness. The dust-like scales covering its wings are color coded based on the kinds of poison it has—poisonous if it is dark in color, paralysis if light. When it attacks, it flaps its large wings violently to scatter its poisonous powder all around.

An Egg named this.

It's a blue Don Ramon. . . sorta

#030. Nidorina J:Nidorina G:Nidorina F:Nidorina

Poison Pin Pokémon
Height: 2'07" Weight: 44.1 lbs
Habitat: Grasslands Types:
Stage1: Evolves from Nidoran (Female)
It has a calm and caring nature. Because its horn grows slowly, it prefers not to fight. Nidorina has the ability to emit ultrasonic cries that have the power to befuddle foes. If it is threatened with attack, it raises the barbs that are all over its body. When Nidorina are with their friends or family, they keep their barbs tucked away to prevent hurting each other. This Pokémon appears to become nervous if separated from the others. When feeding its young, it first chews and tenderizes the food, then spits it out for the offspring.

You and the Don shall meet shortly.

. . .the witch is dead!

Aww, durnit pa.

I didn't catch a Chansey or a Tauros.

I should get rid of these disgusting things. Oh man, did I put that in the pocket with all the snacks?

Oh, eew. EEW.

I am neither a border collie, nor a fruit-flavored hard candy.

Well yeah, you're old.

Better not be old people candy.

Strength!

Hmm, well two new abilities.

Turns out Kangaskhan and Snorlax are the only Pokémon I have that can learn both.

Now to push that boulder out of the way so I can grab that TM.

]:I
Ok, well, let's go to the beach and give that surf move a shot.

MOTHER FUCKER.
